Stupid Peacock could smell my fear and my sandwich and wouldn't leave me alone! Dad kept trying to encourage him to get closer to me so he could capture my fear on camera and post it on his blog!

St. Paul's Cathedral... I climbed all the way to the top all by myself and almost asked a local brit to kiss me at the top so I could have a fun story to tell but I lost my nerve and just imagined it happening... it was just the two of us at the top... isn't that romantic?

Hey Katy, it's great to see you again. Blogging is for married people and Facebook is for the single? Interesting, and it may just be true - my students all love Facebook. Thanks for throwing a bone to the fogey-bloggy community.
A bit of advice, don't ever worry about catching up. You don't owe anyone any information. Just say whatever you want at the time. If you haven't posted for a month, don't worry about somehow making up for anything. Just say hi and tell us about something you feel like talking about.
Sometimes I just post a link to something, and sometimes I almost offer an entire semester paper or class lecture (I guess I have actually offered both so far).
Anyway, don't feel obliged, and don't ever make up for anything. Just say as much or as little as you want about what's in your head and heart at the moment you are sitting at the computer.
Having said all of that, I do again appreciate you being willing to communicate with us older folks (we'll see what happens when you're back in school).
