Virginia Day 5: Monticello and University of Virginia

Another fun filled day in beautiful Virginia. We spent the day hanging out at Jefferson's house. Such a smart and educated man that: and a book collector to boot! The tour guide gave the children the challenge of finding all the clocks in Thomas's house (naturally, he has a great affinity for clocks and the keeping of time.) I must admit that I too took on the challenge and sought the praise of our tour guide but he didn't seem so impressed when he asked the children at the end of the tour how many clocks they had sighted and I shouted above the rest "12!!" In the end its fine that he wasn't impressed with me because I think his last name started with a Z.

We picnicked, we toured, we jumped, we passed judgement, we oggled the gardens, and we enjoyed ourselves!!

Virginia Day 4: DC Day

We went into the city early in the morning and went straight to the capitol for a little (literally) tour, followed by a day of sightseeing and hilarity. I believe that the pictures say it all.
