... On A Friday Night!

YEEHAW! I Went to the Rodeo on a friday night with Tom and Carrie Boynton. We got to see the Rodeo Queens, and enjoyed several of the rodeo goings on. We were all given free American Flags as a symbol of our patriotic natures. It was a lot of fun and a good time was had by all.

I think we are blending in with the locals nicely...

The evening ended with the discovery of a ginormous tree. Carrie was good enough to give it a hug.
I sure do love the rodeo and all them cowboys with their cowboy ideals and values! I think everyone should go to the rodeo at least once in their lifetime!

Last month Elder Daniels, Elder Westenskow, and Elder Anderson got home from their missions. I was in the MTC with them, so we all got together for their welcome homes and to hang out on Saturday night. (Again, this was all last month but I got behind on blogging...) On the way to Elder Anderson's welcome home, we got lost. Consequently I got to drive through Clinton Utah in addition to visiting Hooper. It was fun getting to see them all again.

The Most Romantic Evening of my Life!

A Night in Salt Lake
by
Katy Taylor

One night, on a beautiful June evening, Katy and Allison went to Salt Lake City to enjoy the beauties of Temple Square, and to spend the night with Emily Ensign while she was playing hostess at Youth Conference.

They went exploring and found the newly refurbished tabernacle. While they were there, the sister missionaries demonstrated the amazing acoustics by dropping a pin and shredding newspaper at the podium while the audience sat in the back. Allison and Katy were very impressed and felt that they had surely wandered into a magical building!

After the great concert in the Tabernacle, they decided to go see Jesus in the visitors center.

After, they decided to go downstairs and visit all the prophets of the Old Testament and Book of Mormon. Moses was looking especially scary that evening and Allison and Katy were a little frightened by the sight of him.

Allison was getting really terrified so they decided to go for a walk outside and enjoy the sites.

Allison stopped to smell the roses,

While Katy stopped to swing on the light post!

They took a rest at the beautiful mirrored lake where all the happy couples get engaged. Katy had something else in mind so she refrained from proposing just yet.

They decided to go play in the elevators for a minute before leaving the premises.

It was so fun that they didn't want the ride to end. But it did.

They decided to go say goodbye to Joseph before heading off to their residence for the evening.

While at Ft. Douglas, Katy decided that the conditions were perfect for a roomate proposal. Katy and Allison had been such good friends for so long that it only seemed right that they take the next step and move in together in the fall.

Allison was so overcome by joy and emotions that she began to cry tears of happiness!

Katy was thrilled with Allison's acceptance.

That night they had a great time talking, until they got into an argument.

And they got into a pillow fight. When the feathers had settled, they went to bed with a wonderful notion that there would be many more of these kinds of evenings to come in the future.
